The role
As a Solicitor / Associate in our busy corporate team, you will be based at our Leeds office working closely with our Corporate Partner, David Armitage, and alongside other Corporate team members based in Leeds and other offices.
The successful candidate will also gain exposure across our National Corporate Unit and be given the opportunity to assist the wider national team on a variety of M&A, capital markets, cross border transactions & investments, investment acquisitions, corporate structuring projects and private equity (to name a few) corporate transactions.
Working within the team, there is the opportunity to broaden expertise and learning and develop skills with a view to assuming greater levels of responsibility very quickly. This role offers hybrid mix of office and home working.

With a team of 70 corporate lawyers nationally, we advise clients on all types of corporate activity across the UK.

The person
The successful candidate will have solid corporate experience and a high level of technical ability. The role will involve working on a broad range of matters including mergers and acquisitions (acting for sellers and buyers) and on shares and business transactions.
Our successful candidate will have 1-3 years PQE and be a very personable, bright and confident individua. They will be a robust individual and will have the strength of character to interact effectively with colleagues and clients at every level.
- Qualified England & Wales solicitor with minimum 1 years PQE
- Excellent commercial acumen
- Good face to face and documentary negotiation skills
