Become an integral part of our close-knit team of 9 highly regarded Analysts, where you'll play a key role in ensuring the quality of our IT and business change projects. You'll support test planning and execution, identifying defects and providing quality assurance, with a focus on delivering IT capabilities and projects that add real value to Gateley and our clients.

As an Apprentice, you will support with:
• Providing quality assurance throughout all stages of the software development life cycle, including requirements, design, development, and testing.
•Learning and applying various test techniques such as boundary value analysis, static reviews, and decision tables to create test artifacts like scripts, test suites, and test conditions.
• Performing core testing activities, including executing tests, raising defects, and reporting results.
• Enhancing the testing process through continuous improvement initiatives, project retrospectives and lessons learned activities
• Assisting in test planning and supporting the creation, analysis, quality assurance, and triage of defects.
• Supporting the Solution Delivery department during change release periods and project implementations
• Liaising between business stakeholders, business analysts, project managers, development team member and 3rd parties as required to support the delivery of IT solutions for the Gateley business.
• Communicating using language that is appropriate to the audience.
• To be aware of and comply with the company's policies and procedures
The team
Gateley Plc has a dynamic and collaborative IT department. We have grown our team to over 60 staff members in total across IT Service, Infrastructure, Architecture, Security, Change Management, Engineering, Innovation and Client Solutions.
The Solution Delivery team comprises Change Management, Engineering, and Innovation professionals. The majority of the team is based in our Birmingham city centre office. The team is responsible for definition and delivery of transformational change across Gateley and IT systems/ processes improvements, as well as developing client-specific solutions, and managing integrations between systems.
The person
Applicants will need to have at least five GCSE's graded A* - C/9-4 (or equivalent), plus level 3 qualifications to demonstrate the ability to learn at this level. Suitable Level 3 qualifications include A Levels (Grade C or above), T Level (Merit or above), BTEC Diploma (Merit or above).

Please note, this role is office based and the successful candidate will need to commit to attending our Birmingham office for a minimum of 3 days per week for the duration of the apprenticeship.
