About The Role

The role
We are looking for an Apprentice Recruitment Administrator to join our professional services recruitment team within the Emerging Talent department. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone to kick-start their career in recruitment by supporting the end-to-end recruitment process for all areas of the Gateley Plc business. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for providing an outstanding experience for candidates and hiring managers.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive administrative support to the recruitment team, including scheduling interviews, coordinating meetings, and liaising with candidates and hiring managers.
• Assist in managing job postings on various platforms, ensuring they are up-to-date, accurate, and aligned with the company’s employer brand.
• Support the candidate screening and shortlisting processes, ensuring the recruitment process runs smoothly and efficiently.
• Maintain and update recruitment systems and databases, ensuring candidate information is accurate and current.
• Monitor recruitment metrics and produce regular reports for the Emerging Talent team and Head of Recruitment.
• Continuously improve processes and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the recruitment function.
• Collaborate with the wider recruitment team on various recruitment projects and initiatives.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, such as hiring managers and the HR team, as well as external partners like recruitment agencies.

The Team
The recruitment team at Gateley Plc is responsible for attracting and hiring top talent to support the company’s growth and success. The team ensures that the Group attracts the best talent, builds a strong talent pipeline, and maintains the company’s employer brand and reputation throughout the recruitment process. Currently, the team consists of 10 members, covering all areas of the business at all levels. Led by the Head of Recruitment, it is an exciting time for the team as the business continues to grow and evolve, providing opportunities for recruitment delivery, project involvement, process improvement, and career progression.

The Person
We are looking for candidates who:
• Have previous experience in an administrative role (advantageous but not essential).
• Possess strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
• Hold excellent attention to detail.
• Have good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Are proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Exhibit a proactive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn and develop within the role.
• Are committed to maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality and discretion when dealing with sensitive information.
